Arsenal beat Sevilla 2-0 to top the Group B table.

Thursday, November 09, 2023 - 09:17 WIB - Arsenal finished top of Group B with a 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League at London's Emirates Stadium. In this game, Arsenal's victory was achieved by the goals scored by Leandro Trossard and Bucayo Saka, according to the UEFA website.

The result leaves Arsenal at the top of Champions League Group B with nine points, with Sevilla second on two points. According to statistics, Arsenal dominated the game with 60 percent possession and 11 shots.

Arsenal showed their strength in this game by replacing Gabriel Jesus who is suffering from a muscle injury in Leandro Trossard. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta's decision was sweetened after Trossard put the Gunners ahead in the 29th minute.

From Bucayo Saka's pass, Trossard fired a right-footed shot that Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dimitrovic failed to anticipate. Despite being in the lead, Arsenal doubled their lead in the 64th minute after Gabriel Martinelli's goal was scored by Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal were unable to increase their lead in the rest of the game, Sevilla were unable to equalize or at least reduce the deficit, resulting in a 2-0 win for the Gunners.

In another match in the group stage, PSV Eindhoven narrowly beat Lens 1-0 at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. PSV won the Champions League for the first time this season with a solitary goal from Luc de Jong 12 minutes into the game.

The result moved PSV Eindhoven into second place in Champions League Group B with five points from four games, while Lens dropped to third despite having the same number of points.
